Frequently Asked Questions

What does access to LineSwings cost you?
Does LineSwings accept bets?
No, LineSwings is not a sports book.
Why consider Differentials?
It’s up to the user to decide their wagering strategy. If you believe the starting game spread is a good indicator as to the final score when the live spread changes there’s brief opportunities to capture better odds. LineSwings Alerts tell users when these brief opportunities are happening in real-time.
What is an Inversion?
An inversion is when during a game the favorite and the underdog switch. For example, if at the start of the game Team A is -10.5 and during play Team A has a live line of +2.5. (This would indicate that the underdog has likely taken the lead by a wide and unexpected margin). LineSwings represents inversions by displaying the differential (“diff”) in red.
Why does a sports book info sometimes differ from what’s available on LineSwings?
LineSwings uses consensus data. Individual sports books often make their own odds based on what side of a game the money is going.
What is the Differential (“diff”)?
The differential is the difference between the opening spread and the live spread. For example; if team A is -7 at the start of a game and during the course of play the live line available for Team A is -1 the differential is 6. If team A is -7 at the start of a game and during the course of play the live line available for Team A is +3 the differential is 10 and this is an Inversion.
In-game vs live betting?
In-game betting usually is limited to breaks in game play like quarters, halves and periods; whereas, live betting occurs constantly at any point in a game. LineSwings analytics helps users seize on both in-game and live betting opportunities.
Does LineSwings have a mobile app?
Yes! We have both android and iOS apps.
